Sentenced decided to end their career in a godly manner. Imhotep was present at the two very last shows. Sentenced’s final concert left me speechless. I’ve witnessed close to twenty concerts from them during the years, but I must say I’ve never seen them play with such skill and conviction. They really wanted to leave a good memory, which they definitely did. The simultaneous feeling of grief and happiness was strange; I have never experienced anything like that. Happiness because they played a set of total hit songs and did it with enthusiasm and skill, and grief because I knew it was going to be their last show. I’ve never seen anything like that; the whole concert was something special, an event that felt more impressive than any concert I’ve ever seen. People were crying but at the same time jumping up and down, being overwhelmed by the music. That’s why there isn’t much I can say about the whole event, but we let the pictures tell the story on behalf of us. I’d still like to concur and say that the world will miss Sentenced. Their unique blend of rock and metal inspired so many bands to start making music, and they truly were pioneers in introducing northern spiteful metal to the whole world. I must admit, that Sentenced has affected many musicians, including yours truly, way of writing songs.
